New State Tests to Replace OAA and OGT

This year, students in Ohio schools, including Toronto Jr.-Sr. High School, will take a new and different set of state achievement tests based on Ohio’s New Learning Standards. Both the standards and tests reflect higher expectations for what students should know and be able to do in math, English language arts, science and social studies. The new tests also better measure what students have learned and can do.

ACT Schedule

The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Math, Reading, and Science. ACT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the US. Most students take the ACT during their junior year of high school but students interested in taking college level courses while attending high school should take it earlier. Students can register for the ACT online at www.act.org.

Please see our guidance counselor, Mrs. Murray, if you have questions regarding the test.

The Senior Class of 2015 is gearing up for their last and final year at Toronto High School. It has been a successful four years for this class. They are truly amazing individuals who are intelligent and good-hearted students. It has been an enchanting year to be the second class to graduate from the new Junior/Senior High School.
