Special Education Instructional Aide:

The Toronto City School District is currently seeking a special education instructional aide at Karaffa Elementary School.  The 5 1/4 hour position requires applicants to hold an Ohio instructional aide license with ESEA endorsement, the ability to lift up to 50lbs., ability to fulfill all duties and responsibilities in the job description including but not limited to: working with students to develop daily living skills (e.g. lifts/positions student, toileting, diapering, tube feeding, changing clothes, feeding, on/off bus, etc.) for the the purpose of creating a positive plan of action to address specific student issues and help them to process behaviors. Substitute Teaching and Support Staff Opportunities:

Thank you for your interest in working in the Toronto City School District. The school district has multiple substitute opportunities available on a daily basis for teachers, instructional aides, and bus drivers.  We are always recruiting potential candidates for these substitute positions. All candidates must be properly licensed and have a valid Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and/or FBI criminal background check. Substitute Opportunities for Civil Service Positions:

The Toronto City School District’s custodian, secretary, and cook positions are under the Toronto Civil Service Commission. In order to substitute in these positions, a candidate must pass the civil service exam for the job. Consideration for full or part time employment is based on a candidate’s ranking on the civil service list for the position.   In addition, all candidates must have a valid Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and/or FBI criminal background check.
